Third Annual NGO Meeting on the Global Response to the HIV/AIDS Pandemic

Last 14th April 2005, Stop AIDS Alliance organised the third annual NGO Meeting on the EU Response to the Global HIV/AIDS Epidemic at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Brussels. This time the meeting was held following a two days event of the World Aids Campaign in Brussels. Around 80 European and International NGOs as well as representatives of the European Commission, EU Member states, ACP countries and the EP participated in the full day event.

UNAIDS releases the "AIDS epidemic update 2003"

The global AIDS epidemic shows no signs of abating. Five million people became infected with HIV worldwide and 3 million died this year alone - the highest ever.
The findings are featured in the "AIDS epidemic update 2003", a comprehensive new report on the global HIV/AIDS epidemic issued on 25 November by UNAIDS and the World Health Organization (WHO) in advance of World AIDS Day, commemorated on 1 December.
